Aim

This site is being developed to provide up-to-date information on the freshwater shrimp genus Atyaephyra. Specifically it aims: to give information on old and new species based on morphological and molecular data, to provide knowledge on the current geographic distribution of the Atyaephyra species and to describe the phylogenetic relationships of new and previously described species based on mitochondrial and nuclear genes. New information is added periodically and existing information is updated continuously.
